D Handles - Oak
|
3 distinct styles in oak:
(A) Hand split from a log and dried on a form, bent corners, overlapped and stapled base with a more rustic appearance.
(B) Cut pieces of wood, steam bent, and dried on a form, overlapped and glued base. DO NOT soak, they may come apart in water.
(C) Steam bent pieces of wood with jointed ends, attached to separate bottom piece, dovetailed corners are glued and secured with a tiny nail.
All wooden handles require some degree of sanding. Please allow for some variations as they are handmade.
Measurements are always given as width of base, then height with the last measurement being the width of the wood on the handle itself.
Styles A & B are limited to stock on hand - both manufacturers are out of business
